JOB TITLE: Leaf Finance Manager

FUNCTION: Finance

LOCATION: Kandy, Sri Lanka

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

The role is responsible for leading and managing the Leaf Finance team to provide and evaluate ideas of strategic value to be incorporated in the leaf strategic plan, and to provide timely, accurate, and concise information to the Finance Director and Head of Leaf to enable sound financial and strategic decision making while ensuring the adherence of Ceylon Tobacco Company (CTC)’s control and governance structure.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
• Key contributor within Leaf Leadership Team for the development of the Leaf strategy
• Ensure annual company plan is formulated based on key market conditions & factors and monitoring of actual performance against plan on a timely basis.
• Ensure Leaf Department’s In-Stock Cost/Kg is maintained as per the applicable target level considering all factors – Farmer price, Field Overhead, GLTP Overhead and Admin Overhead
• Preparing business cases for key strategic projects initiated by CTC leaf and carrying out PIRs to supervise the achievement of key objectives encouraged from these projects.
• Ensuring the farmer ACI (material and cash inputs) are calculated, allocated, supervised, and recovered as per agreed rates and ensuring adherence to acquiring necessary approvals.
• Continuously monitor the status of Key Performance Metrics relevant for the Leaf incentive Scheme (LIS) against the agreed targets
• Monthly and Quarterly reviewing of reconciliation and other control mechanism within leaf department
• Ensure all capital expenditure projects are carried out with relevant above market and end markets approvals while continuously monitoring the progress of these projects to ensure completion OTIF.
• Active involvement for continuous improvement in Leaf strategy and own the execution as Leaf leadership team member.
• Develop the right succession plan and development plan for the Leaf Finance Team & actively support the Leaf Talent Development agenda.
• Collaborating with and influencing partners within and beyond CTC.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE
• BSc. in Accounting and Finance or any other Finance related professional qualification
• Minimum of 5 -7 years of financial experience in a leading FMCG company.
• Ability to lead large teams maintaining a positive work environment.
• Experience and knowledge in accounting standards and principles.
• Leadership skills with sound collaboration & influencing skills and negotiation skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate and coordinate efficiently within the DRBU, with partners at varying levels both internally and externally.
